She revealed that at one of the lowest points in her life, her desperation to become a mother exposed her to a troubling network of people and services targeting women struggling with fertility challenges.
According to her, she received numerous suggestions and referrals and was encouraged to engage in unusual practices, including fasting and praying what she described as strange prayers.
She also disclosed that she nearly became involved in what she alleged was an illegal adoption ring while searching for a way to have a child.
The woman urged people to show compassion towards women who find themselves considering desperate options, stressing that the emotional pressure of longing for a child can influence how a person thinks and makes decisions.
She explained that while some actions may appear unreasonable or illogical to people observing from the outside, those experiencing the situation may view things differently because of the desperation and emotional burden involved.
“Until you are inside that situation, you cannot judge,” she said.
